difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”
Chad doesn't want me packing. He was disappointed to see that I had packed the office on day 2. I feel bad if I don't pack. There's so much to do, yet only 11 days to do it. I told him I would do as much as I could.
Each day, I run the house (clothes, cooking, dishes, baths, etc.), love, entertain and care for Logan and Ava, and try to pack. It's hard. I have been having contractions, and my back hurts like you wouldn't believe. I'll do it, though. Even if I pack three or four boxes a day, I'll do it.
Friends offered to help, but I have a very hard time accepting help. After the third strong contraction in a short period of time, I decided I needed to either stop packing or accept the help. I figured two or three friends would come over for dinner, packing, playing and girl time.
I was wrong. Mel picked up pizza, and the girls showed up. Six of them: Heather, Leslie, Sarah, Isabel, Erica and Mel.
The children played and those girls got to work. They work fast! Within three hours, my kitchen cabinets were emptied, the toys upstairs were packed, and my storage closet was in boxes.
The fact that those six girls came over to help means so much....more than they will ever know.
I have the absolute best friends here. I'm going to miss them.
