Blake went in for his 4 Month Well Baby Visit on January 14, 2010. Blake was weezing when we were brought to the back, and his pulse oxygen level was at 88%. Immediately, the nurse came in to do an Albuterol treatment. Once that first treatment was complete, they did another (this time, with Xopenex). The weezing got better, but the congestion was still there. It was also determined that Blake had another ear infection (#3). We were told to continue Xopenex treatments, plus she added Pulmicort (once a day). Blake was also put on Amoxil (for the ear infection) and Orapred (for the weezing). His 2 month immunizations were delayed (again).

Today, January 26, 2010, we went back for a re-check. Blake's weezing is so much better, and his lungs sounded clear. Unfortunately, Blake still has an ear infection, so he was put on a 6 week round of Amoxil! (Hopefully this will prevent us from needing tubes!) We will continue the Xopenex and Pulmicort treatments. We were able to get our 2 month immunizations (which was given in 3 injections). *Blake is unable to get the oral RotaVirus immunization due to the fact that it has to be started by a certain date.
