This week, I started teaching Logan swimming lessons. I planned to sign him up at one of the local pools, but when I read the instruction that would be taught to beginners, I decided against it. I taught private swimming lessons for years. Not once did I let a beginner complete his or her session with only knowing basic-basics like putting his or her face in the water for 4 seconds, blowing bubbles, etc. Come on. I know it's the fact that you are trying to get your child used to the water, but they could go into a little more detail than that. What happened to floating, gliding and kicking your feet?
We love going to the pool. It's hard to teach Logan everyday of the week (which is what I want to do), but I don't have anyone to watch Ava while I work with Logan. For now, I will teach him on Saturday and Sunday, while Chad can be with Ava. I may start going to the pool during Ava's nap time - I wonder how that would work? I could put her in the stroller, and let her sleep for the 30-45 minutes I want to work with Logan. Hmmm....
